What to Expect During Your Carpet Installation
Preparation
- Clear the rooms of anything that could be damaged
- Empty closets, dressers, china cabinets, and remove bed linens
- Secure pets away from installation site
- If it s winter, please clear pathways to ensure safety and prevent slips
Installation
- Trained professionals will handle moving furniture and installing the flooring according to the agreed plan
- Anticipate dust and debris during the installation
- Noise is minimized during installation, except for nail down hardwood flooring
- Older homes may reveal surprises during existing flooring removal, potentially requiring extra floor preparation.
Enjoy!
- Once the installation is complete, you can immediately walk on the new flooring
- The installation crew will clean up the job area, and if it s carpet, they will vacuum before leaving
- The old flooring will be hauled away and disposed of, providing an additional service
- Any leftover materials will be left on site for you to keep for future needs. Carpet scraps may be bound for a new area rug or mat.
